THREE BALLS. TWO PLAYERS.

A lesson built around playing.

Start close to the net.

I use plenty of mini-tennis to make the court manageable and build comfortable, repeatable rallies.

A ball you can work with.

If you are just starting, Henry feeds toward the contact point that feels comfortable for you, giving you a useful ball to practice with.

Grow the challenge.

As your confidence grows, cooperative rallies become more challenging. The pace and placement change with your ability, so you have something achievable to work toward.

BUILD A FOUNDATION FOR ENJOYING TENNIS

More than the next shot.

Move with purpose.

Work on getting into position, recovering after a shot, and choosing a manageable target.

Understand the miss.

Learn to notice what happened, choose one useful adjustment, and try again. A mistake gives you something to learn from.

Reset for the next ball.

Practice handling frustration, staying engaged, and making clear decisions on court. Build confidence alongside your rally.

What to expect.

Who are these lessons for?

Beginners who want to enjoy tennis, build confidence and spend more time playing. Tell me about your experience and what you would like to work on.

What kind of coaching does Henry offer?

Henry focuses on rallying, footwork, decisions, managing emotions and understanding mistakes. He is largely self-taught on groundstrokes and does not offer formal groundstroke technique instruction. He has received coaching on volleys and can share that guidance.

Is rallying the main focus?

Rallying is the focus, with three balls in use. I also allow time for short explanations, collecting balls, water and rest as needed.
